Se pueden suministrar para conexiones entre dos tipos o tamaños de tubería.  **Los Acoplamientos Reductores Tipo I** son para reducciones en donde las diferencias en los diámetros de tubería son pequeños, como por ejemplo para una unión entre una tubería de hierro forjado y otra de acero del mismo tamaño nominal. Para el Estilo 62 se utilizan partes estándar del Estilo 38, con excepción del anillo medio que es reducido a un extremo. **Los Acoplamientos Reductores Tipo II** son para reducciones más grandes y especiales que están fuera del rango de los Tipo I. Están hechos de partes del Estilo 38 con anillos ancla soldados al anillo medio.
