Su diseño de una sola pieza no requiere ensamblaje y reduce el peso para facilitar su uso. Las múltiples superficies de sellado son excelentes para eliminar líquidos de la línea, especialmente en sistemas de gas húmedo. Algunos Turbo-Pigs Girard cuentan con núcleos huecos que permiten la expansión del pig bajo presión, lo que resulta en un mejor sellado y raspado de la tubería.
